Woodland Plastics Earns ISO/TS 16949:2009 Certification
ADDISON, IL - In April 2016 Woodland Plastics Corporation, a custom thermoset molder located in Addison, Ill. was recognized for meeting the requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2009. TS 16949:2009 certification, which uses ISO 9001 as a base quality management system, is an advanced, automotive-sector specific set of requirements. In order for Woodland to continue its pace of growth within the automotive market and with its existing automotive customer base, Woodland Plastics has recently been working towards ISO/TS 16949:2009. Having previously been certified to QS 9000 and currently to ISO 9001:2008, Woodland Plastics’ quality management system has been effective in maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. With the additional requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2009, Woodland Plastics will continue to be a premier supplier of custom molded thermoset parts and assemblies.
According to Woodland Plastics Vice President, Stephanie Sinderson, who oversaw the ISO/TS 16949: 2009 implementation, “The more eyes you have on your business and on your manufacturing floor, the more easily you can identify and address opportunities for improvement. By incorporating the added requirements of ISO/TS 16949:2009 into our quality management system, we have significantly improved in all areas of our organization”.
With this certification Woodland Plastics joins an elite group of thermoset molders registered to ISO/TS 16949:2009, giving Woodland a distinct advantage over competitors in the automotive sector supplying custom molded thermoset parts and components.
