NACD Presents Annual Responsible Distribution Process Excellence Award to Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc.



Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc., based in Brook, Indiana is the recipient of NACD's 2009 Responsible Distribution ProcessSM Excellence Award, the National Association of Chemical Distributors announced today.

Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc., a member of the Association for 14 years, was recognized by NACD today during the Association's annual Operations Seminar and Trade Show in Cleveland, Ohio for demonstrating outstanding performance in its Responsible Distribution ProcessSM (RDP) program. Tom Wilson, founder and former president, Wilson Industrial Sales, was present to receive the award. The award was presented by James Benning, Vice Chairman of NACD's Responsible Distribution ProcessSM Committee and Director of Operations for Hubbard-Hall Inc.

"The RDP Committee is proud to recognize Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc., as the fourth recipient of this award," Benning said. "Their commitment to the environment and recycling of products, their involvement in the local community and the education of their employees has established them as high achievers. Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc. is an outstanding example of RDP in action."

In accepting the award, Tom Wilson commented, "Wilson Industrial Sales Co., Inc. is honored to be selected to receive this award and would like to thank the NACD for its ongoing improvement efforts with the Responsible Distribution ProcessSM. Other finalists, Industrials Chemicals, Inc. (AL), International Distribution Corporation (TX and a Chemical Handler Affiliate), J. Tech Sales, LLC (FL) and Mutchler Inc., Pharmaceutical Ingredients (NJ), were recognized during the ceremony.

The RDP Committee recognizes a member company each year to encourage continued excellence among NACD members in their commitment to the Responsible Distribution ProcessSM.

NACD and its nearly 250 members have established themselves as leaders in health, safety, security, and environmental performance through implementation of the Responsible Distribution Process (RDP), established in 1991 as a condition of membership in NACD.
