Wilden Acquires Griswold Pump


Wilden announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Griswold Pump Company, a Thomasville, Georgia-based manufacturer of centrifugal pumps and peripheral products. With the acquisition of Griswold, Wilden, a division of Dover Corporation, will have annualized sales in excess of $140 million. Griswold manufacturers ANSI centrifugal pumps for use in the petroleum, petrochemical, wastewater and pulp & paper industries using a fast and flexible business model which features rapid time to market and a significant price advantage when compared to its major competitors.

"The Griswold acquisition increases our 'slice of the pie'for the pump industry in general", stated John D. Allen, President of Wilden Pump. "In today's business, fast and flexible is a compelling differentiator."Dale Pavlovich, departing Griswold President, stated that "The Wilden and Dover style of business should continue the legacy of Griswold with excellent results". Darren McGuire, Wilden'scurrent Director of Marketing has been selected to serve as Griswold's new Managing Director, effective immediately. Wilden whose international business exceeds 60% of total sales also features locations in Dusseldorf, Shanghai, and Chennai, respectively. International growth will be a highlighted area in Griswold's strategic plan going forward. Wilden will utilize its extensive distributor network when introducing the Griswold line to a worldwide market.
