Websense's David Roberts Elected Vice Chairman of CompTIA Board of Directors


SAN DIEGO, Aug. 1 /-- Websense, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBSN) today announced that Websense Senior Vice President of Americas Sales David Roberts was elected vice chairman of the CompTIA Board of Directors.

CompTIA announced its newly-elected board of directors today at the association's annual Breakaway conference, held at the Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. Breakaway is the IT industry's premiere partnering event for business leaders, resellers, manufacturers, distributors and solutions providers in the information technology industry.

"Our Board of Directors for the coming year is noteworthy for its collective diversity, industry expertise and business knowledge," said John Venator, president and chief executive officer, CompTIA. "Through his many years of industry experience, David Roberts has gained valuable insight into the IT industry and the channel that will help us to craft programs, research, educational offerings, events, and other initiatives."

Roberts has been active with the association since 1987 and served on the CompTIA Board of Directors from 2006 to 2007. In 2005, Roberts was chairman of the CompTIA Breakaway Conference.
