WD Appoints Peter Edinger VP of EMEA Sales
Western Digital Corp. (NYSE: WDC) recently announced that Peter Edinger has joined the company as vice president of sales for Europe, Middle East & Africa. Reporting to Scott Davis, vice president worldwide sales, Mr. Edinger is responsible for the sales management and market-growth strategies of the EMEA region. Expansion of WD's regional market presence, including in emerging and high growth markets such as Russia, Middle East and Central Eastern Europe will be one of his areas of focus.

"Peter's broad technology background and keen customer relationship skills will benefit WD as digital storage becomes increasingly prevalent in virtually every part of our consumer and commercial lives. Mr. Edinger has held a number of executive positions in technology-oriented organizations. For the past five years he has been ATI's managing director and vice president of the EMEA region. He also held senior positions at Sanyo, Japan, NEC, Japan and Media Vision, USA.
