WAGO Meets Latest EtherNet/IP(TM) Compliance Level

Germantown, WI - June 2006 - WAGO Corporation is pleased to announce that it's 750-341 fieldbus coupler and 750-841 Programmable fieldbus coupler products both passed the latest EtherNet/IPTM compliance levels at the recent EtherNet/IPTM Implementer Workshop: PlugFest #5 in Chicago, IL.

"Back in 2004, WAGO was the first company to offer a fieldbus coupler, the 750-341, that had passed the EtherNet/IPTM conformance test," said Dean Norton, Marketing Manager for WAGO Corporation. "Our recent success continues to show our commitment to supporting EtherNet/IPTM, as well as other Ethernet based industrial protocols."

The 750-841 is an IEC 61131-3 compliant programmable fieldbus coupler (PLC) boasting a 32 Bit, multi-tasking CPU with 1 meg of memory (including program memory), as well as a real-time clock and file system. The 750-341, offered in the same housing, is a simple fieldbus coupler (I/O adapter) for those applications that don't require stand alone or distributed programmability. Both products support EtherNet/IPTM and MODBUS/TCP (UDP) communication (individually or simultaneously), as well as connection of up to 250 I/O modules (digital, analog, and special function), 128 CIP connections (Class 1 & 3 combined), built-in web server, and support for system management/diagnostic protocols (HTTP, BootP, DHCP, DNS, FTP, SNMP, etc.).

In addition to EtherNet/IPTM, the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM supports multiple other Industrial Ethernet protocols such as MODBUS/TCP, MODBUS/UDP, ETHERNET Powerlink, PROFINET, as well as SERCOS III in the near future.
