W.W. Grainger Names Georgia-Pacific Commercial as 2007 Supplier of the Year


Recognition is latest in series of awards from distributor customers for Georgia-Pacific Commercial's outstanding sales and service



ATLANTA - Georgia-Pacific's North American Commercial Business has been recognized recently by a number of its distributor customers for outstanding sales and customer service. Most recently, Chicago-based W.W. Grainger - the leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions - named Georgia-Pacific as its Supplier of the Year for 2007, as well as awarding it a Grainger Partner in Performance Award and a Sales Dedication Award.



Grainger's Partner in Performance Award recognizes companies in such key areas as delivery, transactional quality, product quality, product line performance and overall compliance. Georgia-Pacific was recognized officially this month at Grainger's Partners in Performance Conference.

This recognition is just the latest in a series of awards Georgia-Pacific has earned from its distributor customers. Last year, Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Afflink awarded Georgia-Pacific its 2007 Supplier of the Year Award. Afflink is a leading sales and marketing organization supporting the nation's janitorial supply companies. In 2006, Chicago-based Network Services also recognized Georgia-Pacific as Supplier of the Year. Network is a leading sales and marketing organization, representing top independent paper and janitorial distributors.
