W.A.C. Lighting Appoints Andrew Shabica Senior Product Manager
GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK -- W.A.C. Lighting Vice President of Marketing Sean Tham has announced the appointment of Andrew Shabica to Senior Product Manager. W.A.C. Lighting is a leading designer and manufacturer of track, recessed, undercabinet, decorative and monorail lighting.
"Andrew brings an extensive background in product development and design," explains Mr. Tham. "He will help expand the W.A.C. Lighting line to meet our customers' growing needs, and help continue to grow the W2 Architectural Lighting line of specification grade products."
In his new position, Mr. Shabica will oversee the firm's Product Research and Development and Engineering Teams, as well as its many design consultants. He will coordinate product design and value-engineering efforts with W.A.C. Lighting's teams in Garden City, NY, City of Industry, California, and the company-owned ISO-9001 certified manufacturing facilities in China. He will be working on new designs and significant additions to the firm's extensive lines of both decorative and high performance products.
During the past ten years, Mr. Shabica most recently served as Senior Product Designer/NPD Manager for SPI Lighting. He also served as Senior Designer for Visa Lighting where he developed performance architectural lighting.
Mr. Shabica holds a B.S. degree in Industrial Design from the University of Cincinnati's DAAP (Design Art Architecture and Planning) program from The School of Design.
His professional affiliations include IDSA (The Industrial Designers Society of America), and DMI (Design Management Institute).
