Vishay Intertechnology to Showcase Latest Industry-Leading Technologies for Automotive and Other Applications at Electronica China 2016
MALVERN, Pa. – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced its technology lineup for electronica China 2016, taking place March 15-17 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. In booth 3502, Hall 3, the company will highlight industry-leading innovations — including passive components, diodes, power MOSFETs, and optoelectronics — that provide increased efficiency and reliability for automotive and other applications.
At electronica China 2016, Vishay demonstrations featuring automotive products will include an electrical motor drive and full LED front lighting system for 48 V boardnets, and the Vishay Semiconductors TCUT1600X01 transmissive optical sensor for infotainment applications.
Vishay Siliconix will highlight MOSFETs in space-saving PowerPAIR®, MICRO FOOT®, and PowerPAK® 8x8L packages. Featured devices will include high-voltage E Series MOSFETs built on superjunction technology for high-efficiency AC/DC power conversion, and AEC-Q101-qualified SQ Rugged Series MOSFETs for motor drives, electric power steering, transmission control, and injector drives. Also on display will be 400 V to 600 V D Series devices; TrenchFET® Gen IV n-channel MOSFETs with a low on-resistance times gate charge figure of merit (FOM); and p-channel devices with industry-low on-resistance.
Vishay Siliconix will also demonstrate the high efficiency and power density of its 80 V to 100 V ThunderFET® MOSFETs in the isolated bus converter stage; the optimized electrical and thermal performance of its PowerPAIR TrenchFET Gen IV solutions in the point-of-load power stage; and the proven repetitive avalanche capability of its automotive Trench MOSFETs.
Vishay Semiconductors will showcase diodes in a variety of low-profile packages for high-frequency inverters, switching power supplies, DC/DC converters, and polarity protection applications. Featured devices will include TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers, standard rectifiers with ESD capability, and FRED Pt® ultrafast recovery rectifiers in the SMPD (TO-263AC), SMPC (TO-277A), SlimSMA (DO-221AC), and FSMF (DO-219AB) packages. In addition, Vishay will highlight Trench IGBTs designed to increase efficiency and IGBT power modules in EMIPAK-1B and EMIPAK-2B packages.
Optoelectronics solutions from Vishay Semiconductors will include SMD low-profile 2.5 A IGBT and MOSFET drivers and widebody, high-speed optocouplers with external creepage > 10 mm. Vishay will conduct demonstrations of its VCNL4020X01 Automotive Grade integrated proximity and ambient light sensor; the VEML6030X01 ambient light sensor; and a gesture control sensor board featuring the VCNL4020 proximity sensor and two VSMF2890RGX01 infrared emitters.
Passive components from Vishay will comprise a wide variety of the company's latest capacitors, resistors, and inductors. Highlighted resistors will include Vishay Dale Power Metal Strip® resistors with high power to 7 W for engine, transmission, audio electronics, and climate controls; and Power Metal Strip battery shunts for battery management applications. In addition, Vishay Beyschlag thin film chip resistors and arrays with superior moisture resistivity will be on display, as well as Vishay Dale Thin Film networks with tight ratio tolerance down to ± 0.05 %; Vishay Sfernice thick film resistors with power to 1100 W; high-stability Vishay BCcomponents NTC thermistors; and Vishay Milwaukee high-power, high-current grid resistors. Vishay will also provide demonstrations of its Vishay Beyschlag Automotive Grade thin film MELF resistors.
Vishay Dale will showcase IHLP® low-profile, high-current devices for engine and transmission control units, diesel injection drivers, entertainment and navigation systems, noise suppression for motors, windshield wipers, HID and LED lighting, heating and ventilation blowers, and power seats and mirrors. Also on display will be IHLD dual inductors for class D amplifier circuits and IHTH through-hole inductors for motor control systems and line filters. Vishay will also provide demonstrations of its IHLE inductor with an integrated e-field shield.
Highlighted capacitors will include Vishay Sprague solid tantalum surface-mount chip capacitors with low ESR down to 0.100Â Ω in five case codes, Vishay Roederstein metallized polypropylene film capacitors for high-performance DC filtering, and Vishay BCcomponents high-temperature aluminum capacitors with long useful life up to 6,000 hours for power trains. Also on display will be Vishay Vitramon surface-mount multilayer ceramic chip capacitors (MLCCs) in case sizes from 0402 to 1812 for boardnet management, power steering, and active safety controls, and Vishay ESTA power electronic capacitors with high impulse current ratings up to 10 kA.
