VDO OceanLink Delivers Precision CAN Instrumentation for Power Boats

• Display for up to 20 satellite instruments with plug & play installation

Allentown, PA December 2016. Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered instrumentation and accessories for the marine market, and the maker of the world renowned VDO AcquaLink and ViewLine Instrumentation, offers the VDO OceanLink, an instrumentation system designed as a plug & play option for power boat builders and owners. At the heart of the OceanLink system is a multifunctional tachometer that directly accesses the engine data on the NMEA2000 or J1939 network. The OceanLink system can display and forward all available data to up to 20 satellite instruments via network auto-detection, requiring virtually no setup after installation

In addition to the master tachometer, the VDO OceanLink system features a GPS speedometer and has multiple satellite gauge options including a coolant temperature gauge, gearbox temperature gauge, pyrometer gauge, oil temperature gauge, gearbox pressure gauge, oil pressure gauge, voltmeter, turbo pressure gauge, and fuel level gauge.

The instruments of the VDO OceanLink system can be easily integrated into customer-specific panel solutions depending on the vessel type and exact needs of the customer. The simple integrated waterproof harness of the OceanLink gauges makes for seamless initial installation or system expansion.

The VDO brand has long been the industry’s choice for rugged and dependable performance, elegant design and leading-edge technology. As with our best-in-class VDO instrumentation, Continental works to deliver the innovation, functionality and durability in every product we offer, not only in the marine industry, but also in the automotive, commercial, power sports and custom vehicle markets.
