Vault Tooling Sponsors Jimi Hendrix Foundation Top Fuel Dragster during the 2015 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series Season

POWAY, CA — Production Solutions Inc., a provider of Adaptive Tooling Solutions, recently introduced its adaptable, flexible and universal Vault Tooling Part Holder, available in a variety of standard sizes, pin lengths and densities as well as custom solutions that can be configured for most applications and machines. Vault Tooling is the latest sponsor on the "Jimi Hendrix Foundation" Top Fuel Dragster during the NHRA Dragster Championship Series Races!

The car, owned by Kalitta Motorsports, boasts a Vault Tooling logo on the rear wing, and has been featured on ESPN during the racing series.  The Hendrix car with the Vault Tooling logo will next appear at a race at the Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, PA, scheduled to take place October 1-4.  Raced by J.R. Todd, the dragster can rocket to 300mph in 4 seconds and is the fastest class in the National Hot Rod Association drag-racing series.

Production Solutions' Vault is an adaptive tool that can be used in applications where the reduction of custom tooling, fixtures, molds or jigs is desired. The Vault's patented technology uses a high density array of pins that automatically conform to the shape of any part. Once locked, it creates a "nest" to hold the part during the desired process. After completion the Vault is simply reset to prepare it for a new part.

The Vault can be used on bench-tops, robots or integrated into machines or work cells. This adaptive tooling eliminates the expense, time and inventory management of custom molds, jigs and fixtures. Whether using the Vault as a manual operation or fully automatic, setup and changeover is completed in seconds, ensuring maximum equipment uptime as well as improved productivity and quality.

Offering a wide range of patented products, from the cost-effective manual lock systems, fully automated models or a custom solution, Vault Tooling offers three worry-free solutions that are proven to reduce changeover time, improve quality, eliminate part damage and increase machine utilization once implemented. Additionally, the leading-edge Vault Tooling line takes automation to the next level, advancing the goal of total hands-free operation for quick change applications.

Common applications for Vault Tooling include: laser engraving/marking, pad and digital printing, metrology, robotic end-of-arm, injection molding, inspection, part moving and stamping.
