Universal Electric Corporation Welcomes Southeast Asia Regional Sales Manager Ng Kim Yong
STARLINE Manufacturer adds position to further promote growth in Asia Pacific region
CANONSBURG, Pa. –Â Universal Electric Corporation (UEC), a recognized leader in customizable power distribution systems, has welcomed Kim Yong to its management team as regional sales manager for Southeast Asia.
“As STARLINE Track Busway, UEC’s overhead power distribution system, has been experiencing steady growth within the Asian markets, an obvious next step for us was to create a sales manager position that would be specifically dedicated to the Southeast Asia area,” said Lance Sabados, Vice President of Sales. “Kim Yong brings much promise and experience to this position and we look forward to him contributing to the continued success of the STARLINE brand in this region.”
Kim Yong will be based in UEC’s Asia Pacific regional office in Singapore, and will be responsible for increasing sales of the STARLINE brand across Southeast Asia, including Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar.
Kim Yong joins the global UEC team with an extensive range of relevant industry experience including nearly 10 years of successfully driving UPS sales and performing the role of Asia Pacific team engineer. He holds a Bachelor of Electrical Electronics Engineering Degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore where he graduated with 2nd Upper Class Honors and then honed his engineering and solutions skills with the Singapore Defense Science and Technology Agency (DSTA).
Kim Yong’s new role with UEC will help contribute toward one of the company’s overall goals of further establishing its international presence and continuously strengthening its level of service across all parts of the world.
