ULTRA-TURRAX® Tube Drive Disperser
Fullerton, CA –The ULTRA-TURRAX Tube Drive disperser from IKA, with control and workstations, is available to order on Laboratory-Equipment's website. Labs use the disperser to perform homogenizing, mixing and crushing of plant, animal or environmental samples in hermetically sealed tubes, preventing cross-contamination.
Workstation cleaning is not required since samples are kept isolated in the disposable tubes, preventing contact with toxic or infectious samples. Tubes are also gamma-sterilized, sealable, chemical-resistant, and come in two sizes fitted with stirring devices or mixing balls. Pierceable membrane covers are also available.
Workstations can interface with computers via a USB port, providing documentation and program control. On some models, speed can be set as high as 8000 rpm to grind difficult samples. The workstation is programmable to control dispersion cycle speed and time. Reverse speed can be used to optimize mixing results.
