Tulare County, Calif., Signs Contract for Tyler Technologies' Planning, Permitting and Licensing Solution

County selects Tyler's EnerGov® solution for flexible, automated permitting capabilities
Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed a contract with California's Tulare County for Tyler's EnerGov® planning, permitting and licensing software suite. The agreement includes related professional services, training and support.
Tulare County selected EnerGov for its overall scalability and flexibility in automating processes for permitting, regulatory licensing and citizen engagement. EnerGov will replace the county's current technology to improve customer service and streamline the review process. Once implemented, EnerGov will integrate with the county's GIS platform to provide time-saving permitting and inspection field services, as well as real-time spatial analytics that will allow for better planning, forecasting and decision-making within Tulare County. The county conducted a competitive RFP process that included an extensive product and customer evaluation before choosing Tyler.
Jake Raper, director of the Tulare County Resource Management Agency - the entity responsible for land use planning and permitting - says that the EnerGov software is an innovative technology solution that allows the applicants to monitor the status and progress of land use entitlements and building permits in real time. The system will also assist emergency services with information tracking.
"This software solution allows property owners to log in and keep track of the progress of their development project, improving the customer service experience for the public we serve," said Raper.
