Trimble and Doosan Introduce Trimble Ready Excavator in Europe and North America
MUNICH - Trimble (NASDAQ:TRMB) and Doosan Infracore announced today that customers in Europe and North America will have the option to order a Trimble Ready® Doosan DX225LC-5 excavator from the factory. This new Trimble Ready excavator enables a faster and simplified installation of Trimble® GCS900 2D or 3D Grade Control System components with no welding, re-painting, drilling or disassembly required.
The announcement was made at bauma 2016, the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment.
"Doosan Infracore is excited to announce that later this year our customers in Europe and North America will be able to order a DX225LC-5 Trimble Ready excavator that reduces machine downtime during installation of a Trimble GCS900 system," said Wooyong Jung, general manager for Doosan Infracore RD Division.
"The introduction of a Trimble Ready option for a Doosan excavator further reinforces our commitment to serve equipment manufacturers and their customers with innovative construction technology," said Jim Green, business area director for Trimble OEM Solutions, Civil Engineering and Construction Division. "Now it's less expensive and faster to install Trimble technology, so Doosan customers can realize an even quicker return on their technology investment."
The Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System is a machine control system for earthworks that makes design surfaces, grades and alignments accessible to the operator on a display inside the cab. The system uses GNSS, GPS, laser, sonic or total station technology to accurately position the blade or bucket in real-time, significantly reducing material overages and improving the contractor's productivity and efficiency.
Availability
The Trimble Ready Doosan Infracore DX225LC-5 excavator is expected to be available in the second half of 2016 through Doosan's extensive distribution network in Europe and North America.
