TricorBraun Designs a 1.75L Whisky Bottle for Indio Spirits

Indio Spirits needed a custom-manufactured bottle for its Snake River Stampede Whisky. The Portland-based company used TricorBraun's Design and Engineering Department to create the bottle and the TricorBraun International Division to arrange for its manufacture.

Indio Spirits, which marketed Snake River Stampede Whisky in a 750-ml bottle, anticipated demand for their product in 1.75-liter bottle. However, they could not find a bottle with an appearance that had a family resemblance to its existing Snake River Stampede Whisky bottle.

TricorBraun Design and Engineering created a new bottle that maintained the appearance of Indio's existing 750-ml bottle and it added an improved pinch handle. The new handle is located closer to the top of the bottle, which makes it easier to pour than other whisky bottles. The width of the handle also has been made narrow which makes it easier to use for individuals with smaller hands.

The Design and Engineering department, coordinated with TricorBraun's International Division, to assure Indio received precisely what it ordered. The new bottle, called the Aneas, is made with flint glass, features a bourbon neck. It has a bar-top closure.

Indio Spirits was founded in 2004 and in 2006 introduced Snake River Stampede, an 8-year old Canadian whisky.
