TRIB Launches Phase One of New Website

FALLS CHURCH, Virginia - The Tire Retread & Repair Information Bureau (TRIB) has launched phase one of their newly redesigned website at www.retread.org.

"A massive amount of work has gone into TRIB's website redesign to accurately and professionally represent our industry, as well as making it easier for users to find all the great content we offer," said TRIB Managing Director David Stevens. "We're excited about the launch of the new website, but this is only the first phase in its development and we continue to work on further enhancements to the site that will be launched in the coming weeks."

Some of the major features of the new website include:

  • Pages devoted to Understanding Our Industry, including a Beginner's Guide and a section on dispelling Retread Myths.

  • A full Resources section that includes: a Retread Tire Buyer's Guide (in which members may edit their company profiles to better promote themselves to prospective buyers), Retreading & Repair Articles, Government Studies concerning retreading, a Calendar of industry events, and a collection of links relevant to the retread industry.

  • A simple way for users to look up DOT codes and find retreaders.

  • A safe and secure online store for the purchase of materials from TRIB, including TRIB's Industry Recommended Practices CD.

  • A Members-Only section that allows for much broader development of member profiles and offers many community-based tools to connect members geographically or through similar product interests. Members will also have access to Forums, Blogs, Photo Galleries, and can even create their own web pages within TRIB's website.

  • An archive of all TRIB's press releases, newsletters and responses to any inaccurate articles about tire retreading and repair as well as archives of TRIB's popular Casing and Supplier Memos.

For the second phase of development, TRIB is focused on delivering a mobile version of the site and integrating more social media tools to further broaden its reach for members and the public at large.
