TRFA Introduces Epoxy 101 Short Course at 2012 Annual Meeting



Glen Ellyn, IL-The Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA) will offer a new Epoxy 101 Short Course as a prelude to its Annual Meeting, October 28-30 at Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Orlando, Florida. The short course will present both an introduction and advanced concepts in the formulation, application and end-uses of thermoset resin technologies.

The course is scheduled for Sunday, October 28th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. at Loews Royal Pacific Resort in Orlando, Florida. The TRFA 10th Annual Meeting convenes on Monday, October 29th. Intended for technical and sales/marketing professionals new to the industry, as well as those seeking a refresher, Epoxy 101 offers a significant opportunity to leverage the benefits of attendance at the TRFA Annual Meeting and/or to provide important training in thermoset resin technology for new employees.

Specifically, Epoxy 101 includes a materials overview on the advantages and common use of epoxy resins and hardener types including Anhydrides, Amines, Polyamides and Modifiers. The course also includes application presentations by each of the TRFA Market-Focused Committees: Adhesives & Sealants; Coatings, Civil Engineering, Flooring; Composites & Tooling; and Potting, Encapsulation, and Electrical.

This comprehensive course is not available anywhere else and is open to TRFA members and non-members. Participants may attend the short course only or take advantage of discounted registration to attend both the short course and the TRFA Annual Meeting.
