TRFA Announces 2010 Annual Meeting Chair



Glen Ellyn, IL-The Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA) has announced that Dr. Krish Vora, Senior Research Specialist with the Electrical Market Division of 3M Company based in Austin, Texas, will serve as Chair of its 2010 Annual Meeting, September 12-14 at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Vora joined 3M in 1981 after receiving his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of North Dakota. In 1988 he joined the Electrical Market Division of the company in Austin, Texas, where he developed products in the area of cold-shrink, rubber and plastic tapes, thermoset epoxy and polyurethane resins, mastics and sealants and heat-shrink . In addition to four years of managerial experience with the electrical marketplace, he spent one year in India setting up a 3M laboratory there. Dr. Vora's current research interest is in the area of thermoset resin for electrical application. He holds three U.S. patents and has authored six external publications.

TRFA's 2010 Annual Meeting schedule will include the meetings of its Market Focused Committees, a Tabletop Showcase presented by participating suppliers and formulators, including poster displays by local students, and a General Business Session, as well as unmatched opportunities for informal networking with industry peers. This meeting will be highlighted by the presentation of the association's first Excellence in Thermoset Polymer Research Award to a student researcher to encourage and recognize advances in the science & engineering of the thermoset polymer industry.

Technical Paper presentations are essential to meeting one of the association's key objectives, which is to be "the premier forum to interact and exchange knowledge among formulators and suppliers."
