Tough, Durable Loctite® Structural Adhesives Bond Any Size LCM

Adhesives Bond to Most Substrates, Allow Thin Profiles and Narrow Edge Borders

Rocky Hill, Conn. - For bonding liquid crystal modules (LCMs) to housings and brackets on handheld devices such as smart phones and tablets with displays of any size, Henkel Corporation offers a full line of Loctite® Structural Adhesives that allow thinner profile device designs with extremely narrow edge borders. Replacing mechanical fasteners and double-sided tapes, Loctite® Structural Adhesives offer high bond strength on metals, plastics, glass, inks and composites, and provide excellent impact resistance and processing flexibility.

Thermally stable and humidity resistant, Loctite® HF (halogen-free) Structural Acrylic Adhesives offer durable bond lines that seal against moisture or contaminants entering the assembly. Once cured, these adhesives resist damage from impact even when bond lines are extremely thin, for example on edge borders. Fixturing rapidly at low temperatures, these materials can be dispensed in a variety of ways and adapt easily to design changes, process improvements and substrate substitution.

Four products are available in the Loctite® HF Structural Acrylic Adhesive family: Loctite® HF8000(TM), Loctite® HF8150R(TM), Loctite® HF8800(TM) and Loctite® HF8075LV(TM). With varying viscosities for different assembly requirements, Loctite® HF products are two-component adhesives that fixture in 2 to 8 minutes at room temperature once mixed. While all four formulations can be cured at room temperature, elevated temperatures accelerate cure times.

Offering all the features and benefits of Loctite® HF products, Loctite® PUR Hot Melt Adhesives are fast fixturing, single-component thermoset adhesives that resist heat, humidity and moisture. High strength and halogen-free, Loctite® 3540(TM), Loctite® 3541(TM) and Loctite® 3542(TM) easily bond plastic, metal and glass substrates, fill gaps in assemblies and fixture in 1 to 2 minutes.

All Loctite® Structural Adhesives allow parts to be realigned prior to cure.
