Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Group Announces Alliance with Software Developer Genetec, Inc.
Alliance calls for Integration of Toshiba IP Network Surveillance Cameras into Genetec Omnicast®, Synergis®, and Autovu® Security Solutions for seamless management of digital video, audio and data
IRVINE, CA, JANUARY 29, 2007 -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., announced today a new technological alliance with Genetec, Inc., a pioneer in IP video surveillance solutions and a leader within the physical security industry. The ongoing collaboration calls for the two companies to jointly develop software that seamlessly integrates Toshiba IP Network cameras with Genetec IP Video Surveillance, IP Access Control and License Plate Recognition solutions.

An Application Programming Interface (API) software module, developed by Toshiba and Genetec, is now available that adds powerful verification features and consolidated management control for Toshiba IP cameras to Genetec IP video surveillance and access control solutions, including its robust Omnicast® enterprise solution, Synergis® advanced IP access control systems, and Autovu® sophisticated license plate recognition technology.
