Tolga Egrilmezer Joins the M&A Team at Orkla


Tolga Egrilmezer, 37, is appointed Vice President Strategic Projects at Orkla ASA and entered this position on 1 June 2011. In this role, Tolga will join the M&A team of Svein Tore Holsether - Executive Vice President of Orkla and report to Marius Grønningsæter - (acting): Senior Vice President, M&A, Sapa Asia & Middle East.

He will initially be focusing on strategic projects in Asia, especially concentrating on those of Sapa. He will be member of the Board in the recently formed Joint Venture with Aluminium Corporation of China (Chalco), taking the position of Vice Chairman (subject to the approval of the JV by the relevant authorities in P.R. China). He will also be supporting the management of Sapa Profiles Asia & Middle East in developing the sales and marketing strategy and organisation within the region.

Tolga started his career in CitiCorp in New York, U.S. as Graduate Trainee and has held various positions within banking and insurance in New York, Istanbul and London at Commercial Union plc (Aviva) prior to joining Sapa in 2003. Since 2004 Tolga has been part of Sapa Mass Transportation Business Segment.

Tolga was born in Turkey and has been educated in the United States, Turkey and the United Kingdom. He has a degree in Political Science and Business Administration from Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi - ODTU Turkey, Executive Education from Graduate School of Business of Columbia Business School New York, and an MBA from the UK.
