TIGRIP - TBL Series Plate Clamps from Intercon are unique for plate steel handling when it comes to SAFETY. The 1.0 - 3.0 Ton Models incorporate a Safety Lever - Locks OPEN: easy to set over edge of plate material with no “jamming” or teeth chipping, a concern with the spring loaded cam designs of other brands. Locks CLOSED: stops the clamp from “walking” at edge of plate during a horizontal to vertical lift at top/dead center & permits 180° turning of plate. A large squared gripping pad gives 200% - 300% more contact area Vs. other clamps “buttons” and a bolted multi-laminated plate body has other safety benefits with the potential to expose abuse - permitting corrective action for safe usage.
