The Tri-State Tooling and Manufacturing Association Introduces Jeff Smith as Administrative Director

Cincinnati, OH - The Tri-State Tooling Manufacturing Association (TTMA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeff Smith as the new Administrative Director. He succeeds Joy Cariaga, who is retiring after leading the organization for the past 10 years.

Smith has a wealth of experience in the industrial sector, with 37 years in the machining industry, including 30 years as an educator in precision machining. In the past, he has taught at the Colerain Career Center and the Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development, where he helped rebuild their pre-engineering program. Smith was named Teacher of the Year by the Miami Milford Township Chamber of Commerce in 2010, and Educator of the Year by the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce in 2014. He has also received recognition from Governor John Kasich, the Ohio State House of Representatives, the Ohio Senate,  State Treasurer of Ohio Josh Mandel, and U.S. Senator Rob Portman on the U.S. Senate House floor in 2014.

All of these experiences and distinctions make Smith a perfect fit for the TTMA, which aims to support workforce development initiatives. Jeff leverages his own experience as a member of the TTMA for the past 20 years along with his longstanding commitment to workforce development and training. In addition to his new role as Administrative director for the TTMA, Smith has recently accepted another teaching role, this time with Gateway Community College in Florence, Kentucky. There, he will be teaching precision machining and computer numerical control programs.
