The Label Printers' Lori Campbell A Featured Speaker at the FTA Forum

Lori Campbell, Chief of Operations for The Label Printers, a manufacturer of custom labels and packaging, discussed Brand Protection at the FTA Forum, as one of three presenters in the Upside Down or Inside Out: What’s Next in Packaging? Technical Session.

Aurora, IL – Lori Campbell, Chief of Operations for The Label Printers, was a featured speaker for the FTA [Flexographic Technical Association Forum, May 3rd, in Nashville. Her topic of Brand Protection was one of three presentations included in the Upside Down or Inside Out: What’s Next in Packaging? Technical Session. In addition to Campbell’s presentation, the session included Suzy Badaracco, President of Culinary Tides, Inc. who spoke about characteristics and preferences of consumer groups and the different generations today and Colleen Twomeyt, Assistant Professor of Graphic Communications at California Polytechnic State University who spoke about the future of packaging and the interactive engagement of brands with their consumers.

Because The Label Printers is a packaging converter, Campbell’s experience and perspective allows her to address the topic of brand protection globally – without having to focus on a specific technology – and tailor her presentation to other converters. She states, “Usually when I speak about Brand Protection, it’s to a group of brand owners. This presentation was addressed to the converting audience in the brand protection space – so I had to tailor my message to one less about the problem and more about the opportunity. Converters are positioned to be a resource, which can be very powerful. I wanted to communicate to session attendees that the scope of the problem of anti-counterfeiting is really broad, and that it is probable that their customers have already been attacked.”

The FTA expected Forum attendance would be nearly 2,000 industry professionals. Campbell said, “We had a really good crowd at our session – which I thought was amazing for a technical session on a Sunday afternoon. The FTA has really done a good job developing Forum programming.”
