The KenBay RotoPac Crushes Medical Waste Cost

KenBay, the makers of the RotoPac, the original Rotary Arm Compactor, has recently installed two of their compactors at Excelsior Medical's Neptune, New Jersey location. The large amounts of medical waste, including saline and heparin flush syringes, dispensing pumps and syringes pumps, necessitated a 24 hour a day collection system at Excelsior Medical to keep the operation from being overrun with garbage.

KenBay proposed replacing Excelsior's vertical balers with two KenBay rotary arm compactors. The difference on the operation floor was significant. Collection times were reduced and overall safety was improved. The maintenance manger says the maintenance crew loves the RotoPacs because they are less labor intensive, safer and easier to use than balers. Management was impressed with how much more waste is compacted in much less time and at a fraction of the cost.

Rotary Arm Compactors have the advantage of being able to continuously compact waste material utilizing 4,400 ft-lbs of torque at the compaction drum surface, making the RotoPac one of the most cost effective industrial waste solutions on the market today. KenBay was first-to-market with their rotary arm compactor and have led the field for small footprint (4'x 5'), continuous high compacting, industrial waste compactors. Waste can be input into the RotoPac by conveyor, pneumatically, manually or through a chute.

Achieving compaction ratios of greater than 6 to 1, the RotoPac greatly reduces waste disposal costs by up to 80%. Its patented rotary arm technology makes the RotoPac ideal for compacting large volumes of trash, as well as plastic for recycling and cardboard without breaking down boxes. The environmentally friendly RotoPac is able to compact into biodegradable bags as well as reduce collections and space needed in landfills.

Quiet, safe and sanitary, the RotoPac has been the choice of industries as diverse as airframe manufacturing, bakeries, distribution centers, printers, offshore oilrigs, ocean vessels and pharmaceutical operations, as well as the US Army and US Navy.

Made in America, the RotoPac is constructed using the highest quality stainless steel and is currently being offered in several different versions; including, the standard RotoPac, The Marine RotoPac, the Plastics RotoPac, the stainless steel Food Industry RotoPac and the Bin RotoPac Compactor.

KenBay began operations in the United Kingdom over 20 years ago as a waste disposal company. Realizing that over 80% of dumpster space was air, KenBay developed the Rotopac industrial trash compactors to increase the efficiency and cost effectiveness of industrial waste disposal.

The RotoPac trash compactor was well received in the UK and Ireland before KenBay began operation in the US in 1995. Engineering advancements in the ensuing years have improved and refined the RotoPac trash compactor. The unique design of the RotoPac trash compactor is patented in the US, and KenBay's manufacturing of compaction equipment systems is ISO 9001 compliant.

KenBay also provides a stainless steel version of the RotoPac trash compactor as well as a marine, food industry, explosion proof, plastics, and bin compactors suitable for almost every conceivable waste compacting application.
