Textron Systems Names Jack Dantone, Jr. Regional Business Development Executive


Wilmington, MA.- August 1, 2006 - Textron Systems Corporation, a Textron (NYSE:TXT) company, announced today that it has named Joseph J. (Jack) Dantone, Jr., Rear Admiral (retired), U.S. Navy, as regional business development executive of the company's field office located in Chesapeake, Virginia. Dantone will work closely with all U.S. military services, supporting current products and existing customers, as well as new opportunities and customers. A 34-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, Dantone succeeds Donn McCrory who will retire from Textron Systems after more than 12 years of employment.

"His extensive experience and reputation within the military community is an asset to Textron Systems. The Tidewater area is the home to many of our Army, Navy and Air Force customers and Jack will help us make sure that we both understand and support them all."

Dantone comes to Textron Systems from SAIC, where he served as vice president. He spent the last three years coordinating efforts in joint experimentation, training and testing at the Joint Forces Command. During his U.S. Navy service he commanded an F-14 Squadron and two Aircraft Carriers and was a Carrier Strike Group Commander. In Washington DC, among others, he had tours in OpNav, the Joint Staff, NRO, and was the inaugural Director of NIMA, now NGA (National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency). Dantone holds a bachelor of science degree from the U.S. Naval Academy, two master of science degrees from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, and is nuclear power qualified. He lives in Virginia Beach, VA with his wife, Maria.
