Terese Kwiatkowski P.E. of GZA GeoEnvironmental Named President of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section


BOSTON AND NORWOOD, MA ISSUED SEPTEMBER 6, 2006... Terese Kwiatkowski, Senior Vice President and Principal at GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. has been elected President of the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section (BSCES) of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

Established in 1848, the BSCES is the oldest engineering society in the United States and currently supports over 2,800 members throughout Massachusetts. The professional organization offers technical programs, enhances the professional growth of its members, advances engineering knowledge and works to improve the standards of practice. As President, Kwiatkowski will work to enhance communication within the organization and promote the professional development of young people coming into the industry.

A resident of Norwood, Kwiatkowski has been a member of the BSCES for more than 20 years and has served on the Board of Government for the last five years. She has served on various committees within the organization and is the Past Chairperson of the Geo Institute Committee. Kwiatkowski is a Geotechnical Engineer with professional engineering licenses in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA and a Master of Science Degree in Civil (Geotechnical) Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, VA. During her career with GZA Kwiatkowski has worked on the Second Avenue Subway Project in New York City, Carolina Bays Parkway in South Carolina, the Central Artery in Boston MA, CambridgeSide Galleria in Cambridge MA and the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston MA.
