Tennant Company Further Enhances Field Service with ServiceLINKSM

More than 350 service representatives in U.S. equipped with in-vehicle laptops and printers

MINNEAPOLIS (January 30, 2006) -Tennant Company (NYSE:TNC), one of the world's leading manufacturers of surface maintenance equipment, today announced the introduction of ServiceLINK, a technology solution that will further improve the company's in-field service and support. With ServiceLINK, all 370 Tennant field service representatives in the U.S. are now equipped with in-vehicle laptops and printers that provide immediate access to customer records, repair orders, pricing and parts availability, ensuring that service calls are efficient and customer costs are low.

"Tennant is well recognized for the quality service and support it offers its customers to keep their operating costs low by ensuring their machines are running at peak performance," said Ron Everitt, Tennant Company's ServiceLINK project manager. "ServiceLINK is yet another demonstration of Tennant's commitment to customer service. For example, access to a customer's maintenance history lets our reps perform maintenance more quickly and accurately, reducing labor charges and driving down the customer's overall maintenance costs."

More specifically, with access to vehicle-mounted laptops and printers, ServiceLINK allows in-field service representatives to:

o access past service and support files;
o price and print repair orders on-site;
o obtain immediate information on parts inventory and availability;
o access service manuals and technical bulletins; and
o update customer files as appropriate.

Craig Moss has been a Tennant field service representative for eight years; he feels ServiceLINK is helping him help his customers. "ServiceLINK offers me real-time access to a customer's service requirements and technical information, which means I can go on a customer visit with the right parts in hand. As a result, I can reduce the downtime of a customer's machine and increase their productivity."

Tennant expects to roll out ServiceLINK to its nearly 40 Canadian field service representatives in April and globally by the end of 2007.
