Successful hands-on Technical Seminar About Continuous Direct Compression


Sewell, New Jersey (June 2016) - Coperion K-Tron, along with Fette Compacting, Glatt Air Technologies, QdB Process Technologies and C-SOPS recently joined forces to present this interactive seminar that included technical presentations, testing demonstrations and also a live working demonstration of a completely integrated direct compression line.



The unique and one-of-a-kind seminar, giving attendees the opportunity to actively participate, was conducted at Rutgers University’s Pharmaceutical Research Center in Piscataway, New Jersey on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.



Attendees were educated about subjects such as Continuous Feeding and Proportioning, Continuous Refill Operations, Continuous Mixing, Tablet Press Operations, Process Design and Integration and PAT technologies. Additional sessions were offered on Wednesday May 18, 2016 to attendees who wished to take part in a second day of training. Topics such as continuous dry granulation, drying, and wet granulation and in-depth focus discussions covering “NIR in Tabletting” were covered on day two.



Future seminars are in the planning stage, which will focus on topics of continuous granulation (wet and dry) and hot melt extrusion.
