Stik-2 Products and Dielectric Polymers Announce Merger and Name Change


Easthampton, MA, May 2009 - Stik-2 Products of Easthampton, MA and Dielectric Polymers of Hoyoke, MA, both with a long heritage of trusted tape products, have merged under one roof. The two entities will now operate as Adhesive Applications. They will share expanded business and plant operations in Easthampton, MA.

The decision to merge was based on being able to offer expanded tape solutions for the two businesses growing domestic and international client demands. According to David Premo, VP/General Manager, Adhesive Applications, the alliance between the two companies provides the necessary means to compete more effectively on a global scale. "Both companies were well known for different kinds of tape products," said Premo. "We rarely competed for the same customers, but often found one another providing adhesive solutions in the same space. Under Adhesive Applications, we'll be able to provide some key enhancements to our products and services that will give us the ability to take a stronger competitive stance in an expanding list of global markets." Premo added, "I'm excited to see where our combined engineering knowledge will take us."

Customers and partners of the former companies will not only see a new name, but will also experience a more extensive product portfolio; Better access to customized adhesive solutions; A larger dedicated team of experienced industry professionals; and Greater financial strength for long-term planning.

Adhesive Applications plans to continue recognition for trusted tape products, including:

o Silicone, acrylic and rubber-based adhesives for high temperature masking, splicing, protecting, laminating, sealing, mounting, gasketing and bonding

o Pressure-sensitive foam tapes for cushioning, mounting, sealing and gasketing

o Very high bond acrylic foam tapes for structural mounting

o Extended liner tapes in a variety of sizes and configurations

o Standard and specialty single and double coated pressure sensitive tapes and transfer films available on a variety of substrates and liners

o Custom product capability using multiple adhesive coating technologies

In addition, combined manufacturing technologies will provide customers with expanded capabilities including log rolls, slit rolls, spools, die-cuts, sheets, and custom coating. And the companies headquarters was originally built for easy expansion of space, should the need arise.
