Steve Baker Appointed Vice President of Avon Engineering

Steve Baker, formerly the Business Manager- Service Center Group with SMS Demag in Oakville, Ontario, has been appointed Vice President for Coil Packaging Systems at Avon Engineering Ltd. in Waterdown, Ontario.
Ralph Deger, president and owner of Bushman Equipment, parent company of Avon Engineering, recently welcomed Baker to Avon's management team, saying that, "Steve's extensive product knowledge, contacts and experience in the metals processing industry will help steer Avon onto an aggressive growth path."
Baker's role will focus on expanding Avon's market share of packaging equipment and systems for steel and non-ferrous metal processors with slitting and cut-to-length capabilities. Building on his strong background in the steel service center market, Baker plans to increase visibility for the full family of products from Bushman Equipment, Inc. and its Avon Engineering and West Bend Equipment divisions.
