SPIRIT to Demonstrate Multi-Platform 'FaceTime-like' HD Multipoint Video Conferencing at Mobile World Congress 2011

MOSCOW, Feb. 7, 2011 - SPIRIT DSP, the world's top voice and video over IP engines provider, has announced today its plans to demonstrate live multipoint high-definition (HD) videoconferencing between PCs and smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Feb. 14-17.

In booth #2H11, Hall 2, SPIRIT will demonstrate the following products:

o Converged PC-to-mobile IP video conferencing: SPIRIT's TeamSpirit®
Voice&Video Conferencing Engine - a server-client software development
kit (SDK) designed with ubiquity of IP communications in mind. The SDK
manages seamless compatibility and delivers cross-platform multipoint
voice and video over IP conferencing on any PC and mobile devices based
on Windows PC, Mac OS, Linux, Android, iOS, Symbian and Windows Phone 7.
The solution includes a set of fully interoperable voice and video
engines for PCs, smart phones, tablets (like Apple iPad/iPad2 or Samsung
Galaxy Tab) and in-browser web applications that turn any user terminal
into a video conferencing endpoint. The server provides an
unprecedented level of scalability and cost-efficiency, supporting up to
a 1,000 concurrent video channels on a standard PC server.

o Cost-effective, multipoint IP video conferencing: VideoMost(TM) - a
web-based, massively multipoint video conferencing white-label software
platform, powered by TeamSpirit Engines. VideoMost enables service
providers to immediately launch their own branded and highly scalable
multipoint video conferencing service to their subscribers as a SaaS,
and quickly gain new revenue streams.

Both solutions are IMS and LTE-ready and embrace H.264SVC scalable video codecs.

"To satisfy an enormous demand for quality mobile video conferencing, SPIRIT offers a software platform for ubiquitous multipoint video over IP communications for carriers, OEMs and service providers, enabling them deliver IP videoconferencing to their clients faster, and compete better with Skype, Google and WebEx," said SPIRIT's VP Products Slava Borilin. "We're excited to be demonstrating our TeamSpirit® Video&Video Conferencing SDK and VideoMost(TM) video conferencing software - both of which help telcos and service providers significantly reduce video hardware infrastructure costs (up to 10 times lower) and offer HD quality video conferencing services to millions of users as a branded solution, leveraging the existing IMS infrastructure, improving ROI and providing a clear path to fast introduction of highly profitable services over LTE networks."
