Spirax Purchases Flow Meter Company, AFTCO
BLYTHEWOOD, SC -Spirax Sarco, Inc., (SSI) has purchased Advanced Flow Technology Company (AFTCO) from AMJ Equipment Corp of Lakeland, Florida. Following the purchase, AFTCO will be merged into Spirax Sarco's EMCO Flow Systems division, which Spirax acquired in June 2005.
"The addition of AFTCO complements our existing range of flow meters," said Mark Vernon, SSI President. "AFTCO brings a unique and patented electromagnetic meter that has significant customer advantages and appeal over conventional electromagnetic meters to better serve an important growth market."
The SSI EMCO division has a broad line of flow measurement technology, which includes vortex, turbine, ultrasonic and differential pressure flow meters, as well as a range of flow processors and transmitters. EMCO serves the HVAC, commercial, municipal and industrial markets for accurate measurement of steam, gas and liquid flows.
