Spectrum Sensors & Controls Launches New Website

State College, PA - January 2, 2008 - Spectrum Sensors & Controls, Inc. has launched a new website at www.SpecSensors.com highlighting both of the company's divisions, Precision Position Sensors and Advanced Thermal Sensors. The Precision Position Sensors and Transducers website section presents detailed features and specifications on hollow shaft potentiometers, rotary potentiometers, linear potentiometers, motorized potentiometers, fader/angular arm motion potentiometers, element segments and wiper assemblies. The Advanced Thermal Sensors and products section details information on temperature probes and assemblies, PTC thermistors, NTC thermistors, and RTD sensors.

Spectrum's Precision Position Sensors offer high reliability and the longest life (l00 million cycles min.) with precise sensing (0.1% linearity). All Spectrum's Precision Position Sensor products are designed for demanding environments such as High G shock, vibration, extreme moisture and temperature ranges and can be customized for specific applications. Additionally, all their units are designed, manufactured, and tested in accordance with MIL-R-39023.

Spectrum's Advanced Thermal Products manufactures sensors for surface, immersion and air temperature applications. Designs include PTC thermistors for heating, overcurrent protection and temperature sensing, NTC thermistors for temperature measurement and control, and platinum and nickel RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors). Packaging specialists, Spectrum designs a wide range of moisture and shock resistant models that have excellent free/thaw tolerances with the fastest prototypes and the shortest lead times in the industry.

The new website provides a probe configurator, a design assistant, product qualification capabilities, low-cost manufacturing information, and a request for quotation tool. Also new to the website and within the Advanced Thermal Sensor division are technical notes for each product group with datasheets and a customization configurator. At SpecSensors.com you can learn about the company's history, sister divisions, facilities, global manufacturing and logistics, quality policy, news, career opportunities, certifications, sales contacts and distributors as well as having the ability to request literature. Spectrum Sensors & Controls, Inc. is ISO9001: 2000 certified.
