SPE to Honor Achievements of Industry Leaders at ANTEC® 2016



BETHEL, CT, U.S.A., -- The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) will present its annual awards for outstanding contributions to the plastics industry to four distinguished individuals during SPE ANTEC® 2016.



ANTEC 2016, the world’s largest plastics technical conference, will take place May 23-25 at the JW Marriott Indianapolis in Indianapolis, Indiana, U.S.A. The annual award recipients will be honored at the Awards Gala on Sunday evening, May 22.



Biographical details on the award recipients appear in the attached document. The awards and honorees are:



International Award: Dr. Samuel Kenig

Dr. Kenig is dean of engineering and head of graduate studies in plastics engineering at Shenkar College in Israel. Sponsored by SPE Engineering Properties and Structures Division, this is SPE’s most distinguished award and is presented to honor an individual’s lifetime achievement.



Business Management Award: Frank Macher

Mr. Macher is chairman and CEO of Continental Structural Plastics. The award is sponsored by the Detroit Section of SPE and SPE Automotive Division.



Fred E. Schwab Education Award: Dr. Tim Osswald

Dr. Osswald is professor of mechanical engineering and director of the Polymer Engineering Center at the University of Wisconsin—Madison. The award is sponsored by the Detroit Section of SPE and SPE Automotive Division.



Research / Engineering Technology Award: Dr. Gregory Campbell

Dr. Campbell is president and chief technical officer of Castle Associates, a consultancy. The award is sponsored by SPE Extrusion Division.
