SPE Schedules Educational Events at K'Show 2007
The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Europe has set up a full programme of educational events for presentation in Dusseldorf in conjunction with the K show that takes place during the last week of October. Training seminars and conferences all will be held in the Congress Centre South at the Dusseldorf Fairgrounds.
One training course, entitled "Ways to Reduce Life Cycle Costs in Injection Moulding", takes place on Thursday afternoon, October 25. Five other training seminars run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on that day and the next. They discuss, severally, plastic additives, fundamentals of thermoforming, mould making and mould design, injection moulding, and failure analysis and prevention.
Three conferences are on the SPE agenda. The first, scheduled for the morning of October 25, carries the title "Improving Quality & Tool Efficiency in Injection Moulding". Three papers will be presented, whose topics are rapid design and engineering as an advantage for mould making, correct steel selection for injection moulds, and reduction of cycle time in injection moulding.
The second conference named "Gass Assist Injection" will cover the Topics 'Gas Assist' and 'Low Density Technology' from 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Sunday, October 28.
The conference on "Advances in Extrusion Technology" will take place between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday, October 29.
In addition, SPE will maintain a presence at the K exhibition, which interested parties will find at Stand E21 in Hall 11.
