Latter will include 25 sessions with 131 presentations total on diverse topics. Conference will take place July 4–5, 2013 at Cité Congress Exhibition Centre in Lyon, France.

SPE Discloses Program of 147 Technical Presentations for the Second Eurotec® Conference, to Be Held in France in July



NEWTOWN, CT, U.S.A.: The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) has announced a program of 147 original, peer-reviewed technical presentations for the second SPE EUROTEC® conference, which will take place July 4-5, 2013 at the Cité Congress Exhibition Centre in Lyon, France.

The two-day program includes three types of presentation:



• Plenary Addresses. There will be two plenary speakers on each day. Two of the presentations will be Polymer Composites for Aerospace Applications by James S. Griffing, a technical fellow at the Boeing Company and 2012-2013 president of SPE; and The Renaissance of the US Plastics Industry by William R. Carteaux, president and CEO of SPI: The Plastics Industry Trade Association.



• New Technology & Innovative Polymers Forums. Sixteen presentations by representatives of raw material companies and academia will introduce advanced materials for a broad range of applications.



• Technical Presentations. There will be 25 sessions with a total of 131 presentations on topics such as automotive, medical, and packaging applications; processes like injection and micro molding, extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming, and foaming; mold making and mold design; composites; nanocomposites; biopolymers and sustainability; polymer modifiers and colorants; plastics joining, decoration, and assembly; process simulation; and failure analysis.
