Conference Convenes September 12-14 in Troy, Mich.; Media Invited to Attend Three-Day International Event at No Charge

TROY (DETROIT), MICH. - In less than two weeks' time, the SPE® Automotive Composites Conference & Exposition (ACCE) will reconvene at the MSU Management Education Center in Troy, Mich. for its 5th-annual session. The ACCE show draws an international audience of exhibitors, presenters, and attendees. The conference's current schedule is now available for download at www.speautomotive.com/comp.htm or the entire program guide (including mini-abstracts for all presentations) is available to download from 4spe.org/conf/0509acce.php.

Members of the media are invited to attend the three-day event at no charge. Pre-registration is recommended to speed entry into the conference. Printable registration forms are available on both websites (above). For media traveling to the Detroit area to attend the conference, directions and information on discounted hotel rooms are also posted. Media will have a pressroom from which to work and conduct interviews. For those with proper hardware and software, the conference center offers free WiFi high-speed Internet connections in all public areas.

The mission of SPE is to promote scientific and engineering knowledge relating to plastics. SPE's Automotive and Composites Divisions work to advance plastics and plastic-based composites technologies worldwide and to educate industry, academia, and the public about these advances. Both divisions are dedicated to educating, promoting, recognizing, and communicating technical accomplishments for all phases of plastics and plastic based-composite developments, including applications, materials, processing, equipment, tooling, design, and development.
