SPE Announces Call for Papers for SPE-ANTEC 2008 in Milwaukee

New this year: a choice between technical or commercial tracks

Brookfield, CT - The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is now accepting abstract submissions for SPE-ANTEC 2008 papers. The abstract submission deadline is October 15, 2007, and the paper submission deadline will follow on December 3, 2007. The entire submission and review process is conducted online.

Please note: an abstract is not required in order to submit a paper for SPE-ANTEC 2008, which takes place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, at the Midwest Express Center from May 4-8.

New This Year - Choice of Technical or Commercial Tracks
Plastics industry professionals who submit papers to ANTEC 2008 will now have a choice between two tracks: technical or commercial. The technical track includes more traditional ANTEC papers, or those that speak to the new technologies and techniques that are being developed today in the plastics industry. The commercial track is for more practical papers that speak to real world (or commercial) applications of these new technologies and techniques, and can be similar to a case study.

"In recent years, we've had both technical and commercial track papers, but we didn't segregate them into those categories," explains Susan Oderwald, executive director of SPE. "While technical track papers are the essence of what ANTEC is all about and are extremely valuable, we've found that attendees consider the papers that would fall into the commercial category just as helpful. We'd like to have a good mix of both types of papers at ANTEC 2008."

Online Abstract/Paper Submission Process
"SPE-ANTEC's online submission, review and approval process is so quick, easy and efficient, that there is ample time for technical paper preparation," explains Lesley Kyle, senior event manager for SPE.

To submit a technical paper abstract by the deadline of October 15, 2007, please do so via the following website: http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/antec2008.
