July 16, 2009 - Fellow membership is limited to select few and is presented in recognition of contributions to social, technological, and educational aspects of manufacturing profession. Candidates must be SME members in good standing, have minimum of B.S. degree or its equivalent in terms of experience, and have 20 years of professional manufacturing-related experience. Election to SME College of Fellows carries lifetime membership in Society.
