The Montreal Manufacturing Technology Show (MMTS) is Quebec's largest industrial trade event with more than 200 exhibitors representing 400 companies and product lines. The event is expected to attract more than 6,000 delegates from across Quebec and the rest of Canada. MMTS 2008 features many new educational opportunities never before available at an event of its kind. Included in this year's event are an interactive town hall discussing the future of Quebec manufacturing, a keynote presentation focusing on becoming a leader through innovation and technology given by M. Philippe Hoste, chief executive officer, Sonaca NMF Canada, and the Aerospace Manufacturing Technology Conference which offers aerospace and defense manufacturers an opportunity to learn about cutting-edge technologies.

"This year's Montreal Manufacturing Technology Show is full of innovations - from the technologies found on the exhibit floor to the comprehensive educational elements that are designed to bring powerful knowledge to the attendee", said Steve Prahalis, general manager of SME's Canadian operations. "Manufacturing truly is spoken here."

Attendees will hear from industry leaders currently using new technologies in their operations, as well as from researchers sharing their knowledge and expertise on upcoming technologies - helping manufacturers to improve their products and processes, and become more competitive globally.

Rounding out the educational program is a powerful keynote presentation, an interactive town hall panel discussion, and a comprehensive series of seminars and tours of local manufacturing facilities designed to provide in-depth technical insights for all participants.
