SlipNOT® Donates Non Slip Material to F.I.R.S.T. Robotics Team Trailer for Local Michigan High Schools

SlipNOT® Metal Safety Flooring, a leading manufacturer in slip resistant safety flooring and products, was contacted by an employee of General Motors, who is a mentor for two F.I.R.S.T. Robotics teams in the Detroit area: Detroit Osborn University High and the Troy Robotics Club. The schools needed a non slip solution for the slippery floor and ramp of their F.I.R.S.T. Robotics team trailer that they use to transport robots and toolboxes to and from competitions.
SlipNOT® was pleased to provide a safe flooring surface for students to transport their prized work to and from competitions. Due to the fact that this was a lightweight application, SlipNOT® provided the F.I.R.S.T Robotics Team with non slip 3/16'' aluminum plate to place over their existing trailer floor and ramp to ensure a secure and slip resistant surface that will last for years to come.

The FIRST was founded in 1989 to inspire student's interest and participation in science and technology. As a New Hampshire based nonprofit organization, the charity designs accessible, innovative programs that motivate youth to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math, while also building up their confidence and knowledge. F.I.R.S.T Robotics Competition is an international high school robotics competition organized by FIRST where students are given a standard set of parts and game details which they use to construct a competitive robot that can operate autonomously as well as when guided by wireless controls.
