Skyjack's Director of Product Safety Appointed the Chair of the ANSI A92.6 Sub-Committee


Guelph, ON Canada, December 5th, 2006 -- Skyjack is pleased to announce that Brad Boehler P. Eng, Skyjack's Director of Product Safety, has been appointed the Chair of the ANSI A92.6 Sub-committee.

Mr. Boehler was nominated for this position by previous chair Mr. Bud Hayden who has decided to step down after many years of service. A majority vote at the Main Committee meeting held Tuesday, November 7th, 2006 in Baltimore, MD confirmed the appointment which was officially made by Dave Merrifield, the Chair of the A92 Main Committee. The ANSI A92.6 sub committee is responsible for the standard ANSI/SIA A96.2 Self-Propelled Elevating Work Platforms, and any formal interpretations of the standard. Mr. Boehler has been active with the A92 committee and various sub-committees (A92.3 Manually Propelled Elevating Work Platforms, A92.5 Boom Supported Elevating Work Platforms, and of course the A92.6) for the past 4 years. He is also involved with the Canadian CSA B354 Elevating Work Platforms Technical Committee, and the ISO Technical Committee 214 (TC 214) - Elevating Work Platforms. Other industry associations include, being an Approved AWPT (Aerial Work Platform Training) Instructor, and sitting on the AWPT Advisory Council as well as being the Chair of the AWPT Practical Evaluation Working Group.

Mr. Boehler is also a member of the IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) Manufacturer's Technical Committee, and the FEM Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, Product Group.

In addition to his involvement with the above noted committees and associations Mr. Boehler has spoken at every Aerial Platform Safety Conference, as part of the Plenary sessions as well as individual sessions regarding accident prevention, maintenance and training.
