Now they're bringing that legendary expertise to metal cutting with three new professional grade saws, including an 8-inch Worm Drive Metal Saw, a 12-inch Dry Cut Saw and a 14-inch Abrasive Chop Saw. Drawing upon SKILSAW's long-lasting heritage of quality power tools, this new metal cutting lineup is designed for maximum performance to meet and exceed expectations among trade pros.

The first new offering is the SKILSAW 8-inch OUTLAW™ Worm Drive Saw for Metal, model SPT78MMC. Available with a Diablo Cermet blade (SPT78MMC-22) or a SKILSAW Carbide blade (SPT78MMC-01), OUTLAW™ is the first true Worm Drive specifically optimized to cut through metal. The Worm Drive design and left-side blade offers superior ergonomics and ease of use, and a best-in-class Dual-Field™ motor provides more power, precision and durability.

In addition to being the industry's first metal cutting saw to feature a blade window for added visibility, jobsite pros will value OUTLAW™'s largest available chip tray which holds 33% more material.

"SKILSAW is on a mission to set a new standard for metal cutting applications," said Gregg Mangialardi, SKILSAW Group Product Manager. "Metal cutting is one of the most demanding applications for any power tool and our new SPT78MMC 8-inch OUTLAW™ is built specifically to handle the job time and time again."

Adding to SKILSAW's new metal cutting lineup is the SPT62MTC 12-inch Dry Cut Saw, which is also available with a Diablo Cermet blade (SPT62MTC-22) or a SKILSAW Carbide blade (SPT62MTC-01) for fast, clean cuts and great precision. It also features a 15 Amp motor for power to get the job done with maximum efficiency, a soft-start to reduce torque and extend the motor life, and an impressive 4-1/2-inch cut depth in a compact frame. Other key features include a depth-of-cut stop which easily adjusts for materials of different sizes and shapes and on tool wrench storage for quick and convenient blade changes.

The SKILSAW SPT64MTA-01 14-inch Abrasive Cut Off Saw is also being released, which comes packaged with a high performance powertrain for optimal power and versatility needed for various metal cutting applications both in the shop and out on the jobsite. With a stamped steel base that's 11 inches x 18-1/2 inches and a total weight of 33.9 pounds (not including the blade, cord and wrench), the SPT64MTA-01 provides excellent stability when cutting large loads and maintains a lightweight frame for excellent portability. Professionals also have the ability to perform +/- 45 degree miter cuts and can easily adjust for different sizes and shapes of materials. "The newest lineup of SKILSAW metal cutting saws deliver professionals tried and true tools they can count on," said Mangialardi. "These saws will exceed expectations when the most demanding tasks are thrown their way, especially when the job requires cutting materials such as metal studs, unistrut, threaded rod, rigid conduit, rebar, sheet metal, angle iron and even steel tubing."
