Sigma's In-House Manufacturing Capabilities: Thermoforming

Sigma is now thermoforming in-house at their 20,000 square-foot Technology Commercialization and New Product Development Manufacturing Center in Middlesex, New Jersey.

The versatile process of thermoforming can be used to design prototypes and packaging trays. After a plastic sheet is heated, it is then draped over an object and then vacuumed. When the plastic cools it creates a textured mold.

Thermoforming services are a great addition to Sigma's growing in-house manufacturing capabilities including: 3D rapid prototyping, welding, CNC milling and machining.
