Siemens Secures First LTP Order for Industrial Gas Turbines in China

Siemens and Hangzhou Steam Turbine Co., Ltd. (HTC) have secured a long term service program (LTP) order from Kunshan GCL Blue Sky Distributed Energy Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Golden Concord Power Group Limited (GCL). Siemens and HTC will provide service and maintenance for two Siemens SGT-800 gas turbines located at the Kunshan GCL Blue Sky distributed energy project located in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, in China. The LTP covers scheduled unscheduled maintenance, spare parts, technical support, remote diagnosis, project management and a series of performance guarantees for the gas turbine generator sets. This is Siemens' first industrial gas turbine LTP order in China.

"Securing our first industrial gas turbine LTP order in China is a significant milestone," said Thorbjoern Fors, CEO, Siemens Power Generation Services, Distributed Generation. "It provides an opportunity to further drive our localization strategy by offering more flexible service solutions to our customers in China and to support the fast-growing Chinese distributed energy market."

Siemens is providing the Kunshan GCL Blue Sky distributed energy project with two SGT-800 gas turbines and generators; HTC is supplying steam turbines as well as auxiliary systems. The first unit is expected to be put into operation in September 2017. Siemens' professional project management team will provide remote analysis and diagnosis of operating data of the gas turbines to help the customer ensure the most stable operation. The company's spare parts and tooling warehouse in China can provide fast response when needed to help keep the units operating at optimal performance levels.
