Sharn Pushes Volunteer Initiative

FRANKFORT, IL - Sharn Enterprises, Inc, a custom point-of-purchase display and specialty parts manufacturer, has taken a special initiative in order to push the importance of volunteering throughout the company.
While Sharn Enterprises, Inc. is a mid-sized, woman-owned company in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, they realize that every little bit of local volunteer work matters.
Sharn’s Marketing Intern, Chelsey Heft, is heavily involved with the Disabled Patriot Fund. This non-profit was formed in 2004 by a group of area business people and local officials who came together because of a common interest; to help disabled American veterans who have fought in the War on Terrorism.
Lending a hand at their annual Golf Outing on Wednesday July 1, Chelsey sold raffle tickets to attendees for a split the pot as well as offered a helping to hand to anyone who needed assistance throughout the day.
“Interacting with all of the disabled veterans and getting to know them on a personal level made it even more special to try to help and raise money for the organization.”
In addition, one of Sharn’s account representatives, Stephanie Shostok, volunteers on a regular basis at Alsip to the Rescue, which is Frankfort’s local pet adoption and rescue center for dogs and cats who have no other place to go.
“I love helping out [at Alsip because, one, I love all animals, and two, if I can help one get a forever home, it makes me so happy. Volunteering not only helps others, it makes you feel good inside, too.”
Sharn Enterprises, Inc. is looking forward to continuing with their volunteer initiative and encouraging their employees to become active in their communities and organizations within their area.
