SEEBURGER Doubles Global EDI Message Catalog for SAP NetWeaver(R) XI; Over 200 Default Messages Included in New Version 1.6 of EDI Adapter

Optional SAP NetWeaver Add-on Operates Seamlessly With XI Mapping Tool

ATLANTA, Dec. 7 -- SEEBURGER Inc. announced today that it has doubled the size of the message catalog supplied with its EDI adapter for the SAP NetWeaver® Exchange Infrastructure (SAP NetWeaver® XI) to include more than 200 transaction types in all global EDI protocols. The expanded message library is included with the new Version 1.6 of the SAP NetWeaver Adapter by SEEBURGER (EDI), an optional add-on to the SAP NetWeaver technology stack that provides seamless integration with all toolsets for SAP NetWeaver XI as well as eliminating the need for a standalone EDI application.

The SEEBURGER catalog includes general and industry-specific trading documents in ANSI, EDIFACT, ODETTE, TRADACOM and VDA formats, serving the EDI needs of every region in the world and industry sectors ranging from automotive to banking, consumer products, retail, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, oil & gas, and utilities. Messages cover the full spectrum of transaction types from purchase orders and invoices to warehouse shipping orders and acknowledgements to advance shipment notices, warehouse shipping confirmations, and product catalogs.

Each message type comes with the three files necessary to complete the data transformation: the basic import file used to create EDI-to-XML or XML- to-EDI format mappings in the SEEBURGER Message Designer, the corresponding EDI XML file describing the XML interface between the SEEBURGER adapter and SAP NetWeaver XI, and the XML schema file for importing the information to the SAP NetWeaver XI repository.

This comprehensive offering reduces EDI implementation time and expense by enabling organizations in any global location to automate information exchange with customers, partners and suppliers without creating messages and their corresponding syntax definitions from scratch.

The upgrade also builds on the benefits of the adapter's native integration with the SAP NetWeaver technology stack, including the assurance of seamless operation with the SAP NetWeaver XI mapping engine and the other core toolsets required to convert business documents from industry standards into the XML/SOAP-based format used by SAP NetWeaver.

In addition to the message library and message designer, the adapter offers robust data validation tools to detect syntax errors and other problems, comprehensive EDI message tracking capabilities for researching delivery of specific messages, message archiving support to facilitate retrieval of older transactions, and other functions that support EDI operations.

"This upgrade to our EDI adapter reflects our commitment to equip SAP customers who are migrating to the SAP NetWeaver environment with the tools they need to streamline their EDI implementations," said Scott Lewin, President and CEO, SEEBURGER, Inc. "Taken together with our VAN and AS2 adapters for the SAP NetWeaver technology stack, we offer a comprehensive solution for helping SAP customers avoid the complex integration of third- party EDI applications into an SAP applications environment."

Version 1.6 of the SAP NetWeaver Adapter by SEEBURGER (EDI) is available immediately from both SAP and SEEBURGER sales and services organizations.About SEEBURGER
