Schneider Packaging's Case Packer/Palletizers Offer Complete Automation in a Small Footprint

At Pack Expo, November 9 - 13, 2008 at Chicago's McCormick Place, Booth S 1501

BREWERTON, NY (September, 2008) - Schneider Packaging Equipment Co., Inc., specializing in end-of-line solutions for case packing and palletizing needs, will be at Pack Expo 2008, McCormick Place, Chicago, Booth S 1501. Innovative robotic case packing and palletizing solutions will be on display including vision guided robotics and a traditional horizontal case packer.

Schneider's award winning robotic case packer/palletizer improves productivity while simplifying the packaging and palletizing process. Using ControLogix to integrate all components, cases are automatically erected, then loaded with product, sealed, labeled, and palletized in one system cell. The footprint can be smaller than 180 square feet, depending on configuration requirements.

Schneider's compact, portable robotic cell, the Robox Vi will demonstrate the use of a robot combined with vision intelligence to receive randomly oriented product from a conveyor. Robox Vi utilizes a FANUC robotic arm, an integrated vision system and a quick-change End of Arm tool designed by Schneider's engineers to achieve automatic access to any kind of conveyed product.

Schneider's traditional HCP-10 side load case packer is ideal for applications where a smaller footprint and gentle product handling is needed. The HCP-10 can be designed to pack cases in a wide rage of lengths, widths and depths, to fit your needs. All motion provides smooth, accurate handling of product and cases, and its smaller size is perfect for lower rate applications of up to 10 cases per minute, depending on the case size and pack pattern.

As conveyed product reaches the HCP-10, the machine moves product from the conveyor to construct a pack pattern which is then loaded into a waiting case. Simultaneously, the HCP-10 selects and erects cases, folds, and seals flaps. Case sealing can be accomplished with tape or hot-melt glue.

Whatever the packaging requirements, Schneider works to provide the best solution for any unique need.
